Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

I finally tried it. The infamous Too Faced Born This Way foundation. There has been a lot of hype about this particular product since it first released in early summer of this year, and rightfully so. There are 18 shades available, 6 of which are only available online. I chose the shade Honey and it was an ok match. I did have to bronze up a bit with it, but I am used to that. I felt the next shade darker, Caramel, was a tad too dark for me. It probably would have worked fine, but I wasn't comfortable with it.

The Sephora website says the product is:

"An oil-free foundation for natural-looking, full coverage and a beautiful, radiant finish"

The coverage is definitely full & flawless. I wouldn't say it's "natural" as they claim, however it doesn't look heavy or cakey at all. And of course you could sheer it out with a moisturizer or serum if you wanted to. I went 4 hours before I had to blot any excess oil from my t-zone which is pretty good as I have oily/combination skin and the website doesn't claim it as mattifying. At the end of a full 12 hour day there was some wear on my chin and around my nose. I was sure to use a mattifying primer with this, as again, I am on the oilier side. However, one day I forgot the primer and the foundation held up just as well.

The product has a nice smooth, cream-like texture and it's fragrance free! I personally can't stand foundations with a scent. What's the point? It comes in a frosted glass bottle with a pump, which is mando in my book.
Shade Honey
The foundation retails for $39. If you have oily/combo skin like myself, I totally recommend for the winter time. I most likely wouldn't wear this in the summer, but for reference it did get to the low 80s one day when I wore it with the same results as stated above. Gotta love Arizona winters! If you have normal skin, this would be amazing for you and for those with drier textures, I imagine this would be a great choice. If you do have dry skin and try this out, let me know how you like it.
Overall, it's a nice foundation. I personally am more keen to foundations that claim to be mattifying, but during the winter I do get dry areas on my face so I like a bit more of a hydrating foundation. This one in particular is infused with coconut water to help moisturize. The formula also contains alpine rose to brighten the skin and promote elasticity. And one last key ingredient is hyaluronic acid which helps with smoothing out the skin and giving a more youthful appearance.
